Congratulations! You have found each other, and are now in the process of planning your wedding! There are so many decisions to make, and you want everything to be just perfect. And it should be. You have so much invested in celebrating the most important event in your life - the entertainment you choose should reflect the beauty and elegance of your wedding, just as you have always imagined!  Since 1981, The DJ Connection has performed at thousands of weddings.  We are a black-tie entertainment service, specializing in weddings. You can expect your DJ to be a professional person, dressed in a tuxedo, ready to provide a performance that is customized to meets your needs and tastes.

The support staff at The DJ Connection will pre-plan all of your reception activities and events prior to the event utilizing our Wedding Reception Planner. This allows us to organize and personalize your reception in advance, and prevents the stress of having to make last minute decisions at the reception. Prior to the wedding, we will plan the music, the reception formalities as well as the personality and amount of interaction you want from your wedding emcee.

First, we want to know the type of music you prefer.   Most of our wedding clients usually ask for a variety of music, because of the diversity in ages of the guests that attend. We take requests from you in advance, as well as from your guests at your reception. Our goal is to mix the music up, so that we keep a steady flow of dancing throughout your reception.

It is important to us that we plan all of the formal events that you wish to include at your reception, in advance. Every wedding is different, and every bride and groom have different tastes. For this reason, we have a Wedding Reception Planner that organizes your entire reception. Prior to the reception, we will have a complete plan of exactly what reception formalities you want, and what sequence they are to follow. This is all done to meet your needs and tastes. 

The amount of interactivity/personality you prefer is also something that we also personalize. Do you want the DJ to be fun and interactive, or do you prefer a more low key approach? Every bride and groom have their own ideas about what they want out of the entertainment. It is our goal to customize our approach to meet your tastes.  If you want the DJ to motivate your guests, and provide fun, interactive things to get them energized, we are happy to do that! One thing to keep in mind, is that we never cross the line of being obnoxious. 

If a fun and interactive DJ is what you prefer, we will create some energy and facilitate fun for your guests, rather than being the center of attention. The important thing to remember, is that you choose the amount of personality and interactivity.

By planning all aspects of your reception well in advance, your DJ will be able to perform his duties in a smooth and professional manner and you will be able to enjoy your reception without worrying about the details.

Ceremony Music

If you are getting married at the same location as the reception, you will be glad to know that because we are wedding specialists, we have a tremendous amount of experience with providing music for wedding ceremonies. This includes music while your guests are being seated, selections for parents to be seated and processional & recessional music. If you have a soloist, we are happy to play their instrumental recording to accompany their vocals. Portable PA systems are available if your ceremony is located away from the main reception area.
